1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TheRobotBay (therobotbay.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform.

These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, buyers, and sellers on the platform.

2. Description of Service

TheRobotBay is an online marketplace that enables individuals and businesses to buy, sell, and rent robotics equipment and related technology. We provide the platform and infrastructure — we are not a party to any transaction between users, and we do not own, inspect, or guarantee any listed items.

3. Account Registration

To list items or contact sellers you must create an account. You may register using an email and password, or via a third-party sign-in provider (Google, Facebook). When using a third-party provider, we receive your name, email address, and profile information as permitted by that provider.

You are responsible for:

Providing accurate and truthful registration information
Keeping your account credentials confidential
All activity that occurs under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the platform.

4. Listings and User Content

When you post a listing, you represent and warrant that:

You own the item or have legal authority to sell or rent it
All descriptions, specifications, and images are accurate and not misleading
The item does not violate any applicable laws or regulations
You have the right to grant us a licence to display the content on the platform

You retain ownership of your content. By posting, you grant TheRobotBay a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote your listings on the platform.

5. Prohibited Activities

You may not use TheRobotBay to:

Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
List items that are stolen, counterfeit, or illegally obtained
List items that are prohibited by law in your jurisdiction or the buyer's jurisdiction
Harass, threaten, or defraud other users
Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the platform without written permission
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure
Use the platform for any illegal purpose
Create multiple accounts to circumvent a ban or restriction

6. Transactions

TheRobotBay is a listing and discovery platform. All transactions, negotiations, payments, and fulfilment are conducted directly between buyers and sellers. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of any item, nor for the ability of buyers to pay or sellers to deliver.

Users are encouraged to exercise due diligence before completing any transaction. We strongly recommend verifying the identity of the other party and inspecting items where possible.

7. Third-Party Sign-In (Facebook, Google)

When you choose to sign in using Facebook or Google, those services share limited profile data with us (name, email address) in accordance with your permissions. Use of these sign-in methods is subject to the respective provider's terms:

The TheRobotBay name, logo, design, and platform code are the intellectual property of TheRobotBay and may not be reproduced or used without written permission. User-generated content (listings, images, messages) remains the property of the respective user.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

TheRobotBay is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TheRobotBay and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or any transaction conducted through it, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these terms or is otherwise harmful to the platform or its users. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us via the Contact Us page.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines.
